Garry's Mod Server Hosting
Garry's Mod is a physics sandbox. There aren't any predefined aims or goals. We give you the tools and leave you to play. You spawn objects and weld them together to create your own contraptions - whether that's a car, a rocket, a catapult or something that doesn't have a name yet - that's up to you. You can do it offline, or join the thousands of players who play online each day.

Why host your own Garry's Mod server?
Garry's Mod is whatever its server says it is: a DarkRP city, a TTT round, a Prop Hunt lobby, a sandbox for building contraptions with friends. A server of your own runs the gamemode you want, with the addons you pick, around the clock, under rules you set. Workshop collections mean your players download everything automatically the moment they join.
Our GMod hosting runs on AMD Ryzen CPUs with fast single cores, which is what the Source engine wants, with NVMe storage and VibeSHIELD DDoS protection. The control panel gives you the console, a file manager, SFTP and the startup settings for the gamemode, map and Workshop collection. The server is online within minutes of ordering.
Which Garry's Mod plan do you need?
GMod is light on memory and heavy on one CPU core, and what loads the core is addons, props and Lua, more than raw player count:
TTT, Prop Hunt and sandbox: Gmod I
3 GB and two threads for TTT, Prop Hunt, Murder or a sandbox server with 8 to 24 players and a modest addon collection.
DarkRP: Gmod II
4 GB and two threads, the usual DarkRP setup with 40 to 80 addons, a persistent database and 16 to 48 players.
Heavy roleplay: Gmod III
6 GB and three threads for DarkRP or MilRP with 100+ addons, vehicle systems, custom content and 32 to 80 players.
Large communities: Gmod IV
8 GB and four threads for a full public server with 64 to 128 players, the game's maximum. Upgrading keeps your files.
Gamemodes, Workshop addons and admin tools
Your server is a normal SRCDS Garry's Mod server with full file access, so everything the community has built works.
Any gamemode
DarkRP, TTT, Sandbox, Prop Hunt, Murder, Jailbreak, StarWarsRP, MilitaryRP and custom gamemodes: set the gamemode and start map in the startup settings and restart.Workshop collections
Paste your Steam Workshop collection ID into the startup settings and the server downloads every addon in it; players get them automatically on join. Add or remove addons by editing the collection.ULX, permissions and data
Install ULX and ULib for admin ranks and commands, use FAdmin or SAM if you prefer, and pair DarkRP with a MySQL database through MySQLOO when you want persistent data across restarts.
Garry's Mod server locations worldwide
Low ping is half the fun. Our Garry's Mod servers run in 15 datacenters across Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Oceania and Africa, every one on the same AMD Ryzen hardware with NVMe storage and behind VibeSHIELD, our own DDoS protection network with 17 Tb/s of mitigation capacity. You pick the location at checkout, and the latency checker below shows your real ping to each one before you order.
Outgrown your first choice? Our team moves your server to another location on request, with your files intact, so the location you start in is never a lock-in.

Switching from another Garry's Mod host?
A GMod server is its garrysmod folder: addons, the data folder with your ULX ranks and gamemode data, the cfg folder and the lua you added. Upload it over SFTP, enter the same Workshop collection and gamemode in the startup settings, restart, and your server is back with its ranks and settings.
- 1
Download your addons, data folder and cfg files from the old host
- 2
Upload them over SFTP and set the same gamemode and collection

DDoS protection
VibeSHIELD, our globally anycasted DDoS-protected network, now spans 46 scrubbing locations worldwide. Every point of presence filters traffic the instant it lands, stopping attacks as close to the source as possible, long before they ever reach your server.
All 46 locations combine into one unified DDoS-protected fabric, so the full capacity of the entire network backs every individual server. Layer that on top of custom game-aware filtering, tuned for the protocols our customers actually use, and it doesn't matter how big the attack is or how long it lasts. Your players stay connected.
