Why host your own ARK: Survival Evolved server?
ARK: Survival Evolved is still the dinosaur survival game thousands of tribes play every night, and the official servers are where your base gets wiped while you sleep. A server of your own means your rates, your map, your mods and your rules: a chill PvE tribe server, a boosted PvP cluster or a vanilla experience with a whitelist, running around the clock.
ARK is one of the hungriest games to host. An empty map already needs several gigabytes, and tamed dinos, structures and mods keep adding to it. Our plans start at 6 GB and go to 16 GB, on AMD Ryzen CPUs with NVMe storage for the maps and mods, behind VibeSHIELD DDoS protection. The server is online within minutes of ordering.
Which ARK: Survival Evolved plan do you need?
Memory is set by the map, the number of players and tames, and the mod list:
A tribe of friends: ARK I to II
6 to 8 GB for The Island or a DLC map with up to 10 players, a few mods and a growing base.
Communities: ARK III to IV
10 to 12 GB for 10 to 40 players, big mod lists such as Structures Plus and Awesome Spyglass, and large maps like Ragnarok or Crystal Isles.
Full servers and clusters: ARK V to VI
14 to 16 GB and up to eight threads for 40 to 70 players, the official-style maximum, heavy mods and a map in a cluster. Upgrading keeps your save.
Mods, rates, maps and clusters
Your server is a normal ARK dedicated server with full file access, so everything the community has built works.
Steam Workshop mods
Add the Workshop IDs of your mods in the panel and the server downloads and loads them; Structures Plus, Awesome Spyglass, Dino Storage, Primal Fear and the big overhauls all work.
Every rate and rule
XP, taming, harvesting, breeding, structure decay, difficulty and PvP rules live in GameUserSettings.ini and Game.ini, editable from the panel, with guides for the common changes.
Any map, clusters too
The Island, Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, Genesis, Ragnarok, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Lost Island, Fjordur and mod maps. Link several of your servers into a cluster to transfer survivors and dinos.
ARK: Survival Evolved server locations worldwide
Low ping is half the fun. Our ARK: Survival Evolved servers run in 15 datacenters across Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Oceania and Africa, every one on the same AMD Ryzen hardware with NVMe storage and behind VibeSHIELD, our own DDoS protection network with 17 Tb/s of mitigation capacity. You pick the location at checkout, and the latency checker below shows your real ping to each one before you order.
Outgrown your first choice? Our team moves your server to another location on request, with your files intact, so the location you start in is never a lock-in.
Your first steps after ordering
The server is delivered installed and running The Island. These guides walk you through the first hour:
Switching from another ARK host?
An ARK save is the SavedArks folder for your map, plus Game.ini and GameUserSettings.ini. Save the world on the old server first, download the folder, upload it over SFTP, set the same map and mod IDs, restart, and your tribe finds its base, dinos and characters where they left them.
- 1
Save the world and download the SavedArks folder from the old host
- 2
Upload it over SFTP together with your ini files
- 3
Enter the same mod IDs and map, restart and rejoin

Why choose VibeGAMES
DDoS protection
VibeSHIELD, our globally anycasted DDoS-protected network, now spans 46 scrubbing locations worldwide. Every point of presence filters traffic the instant it lands, stopping attacks as close to the source as possible, long before they ever reach your server.
All 46 locations combine into one unified DDoS-protected fabric, so the full capacity of the entire network backs every individual server. Layer that on top of custom game-aware filtering, tuned for the protocols our customers actually use, and it doesn't matter how big the attack is or how long it lasts. Your players stay connected.
