About

Why host your own Valheim server?

Valheim's world only exists while someone hosts it. A dedicated server keeps your Viking world online around the clock: friends build, sail and raid when they like, the longhouse is there in the morning, and nobody's PC decides whether the group can play tonight. You set the password, the difficulty and the mods.

Our Valheim hosting runs the official dedicated server on AMD Ryzen CPUs with fast cores, which Valheim's world simulation rewards, with NVMe storage and VibeSHIELD DDoS protection. The control panel switches between vanilla, BepInEx and ValheimPlus, has a Thunderstore mod browser, and lets you pick and back up worlds. The server is online within minutes of ordering.

Plan sizes

Which Valheim plan do you need?

Vanilla Valheim allows 10 players and is fairly light. World size and mods push the memory:

A few friends: Valheim I

4 GB and two threads for 2 to 5 players on a vanilla world.

A full crew: Valheim II to III

6 to 8 GB for 5 to 10 players, a well-built world with many structures, and a handful of BepInEx mods.

Modded and beyond 10 players: Valheim IV

12 GB and four threads for ValheimPlus with a raised player cap, large mod lists and worlds that have been explored for months. Upgrading keeps your world.

Features

Vanilla, BepInEx, ValheimPlus and your own worlds

Mods are a dropdown, not a project.

  • Thunderstore mods, from the panel

Pick BepInEx in the panel and browse Thunderstore from the Mods tab: install, update and remove plugins without touching files. ValheimPlus is one click too, with its config in the file manager.
  • Crossplay with consoles

Turn crossplay on and players on Steam, the Microsoft Store, Xbox and PlayStation share one world; console players join with the join code the panel shows.
  • Worlds and backups

Upload a world you started solo, pick which world the server runs, and download it any time. Valheim saves every 30 minutes and keeps rotating backups; the panel can back up the whole server too.
Locations

Valheim server locations worldwide

Low ping is half the fun. Our Valheim servers run in 15 datacenters across Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Oceania and Africa, every one on the same AMD Ryzen hardware with NVMe storage and behind VibeSHIELD, our own DDoS protection network with 17 Tb/s of mitigation capacity. You pick the location at checkout, and the latency checker below shows your real ping to each one before you order.

Outgrown your first choice? Our team moves your server to another location on request, with your files intact, so the location you start in is never a lock-in.

Getting started

Your first steps after ordering

The server is delivered installed and running a new world. Getting the crew in takes a few steps:

  1. 1Set the server name and a password of at least five characters
  2. 2Pick vanilla, BepInEx or ValheimPlus
  3. 3Upload your own world over SFTP if you have one and select it
  4. 4Turn crossplay on if console players join
  5. 5Restart from the panel and join from the community list or by address
Migration

Switching from another Valheim host?

A Valheim world is two files, the .db and the .fwl, in the worlds folder. Copy them from the old server or from your own save folder, upload them over SFTP, select the world in the panel and restart. Characters live with the players, so everyone keeps their gear and skills.

  1. 1

Copy the .db and .fwl files of your world from the old server or PC

  2. 2

Upload them over SFTP and select the world in the panel

  3. 3

Install the same mods and restart

Open a ticket if you want a hand; our team moves worlds and mod lists regularly.

Why choose VibeGAMES

DDoS protection

VibeSHIELD, our globally anycasted DDoS-protected network, now spans 46 scrubbing locations worldwide. Every point of presence filters traffic the instant it lands, stopping attacks as close to the source as possible, long before they ever reach your server.

All 46 locations combine into one unified DDoS-protected fabric, so the full capacity of the entire network backs every individual server. Layer that on top of custom game-aware filtering, tuned for the protocols our customers actually use, and it doesn't matter how big the attack is or how long it lasts. Your players stay connected.
