Why host your own Eco server?
Eco is the civilisation game where a group of players has to build an economy, a government and enough technology to stop a meteor, without wrecking the ecosystem on the way. Everything about it is designed for one persistent server that a community shares for weeks: laws, currencies, shops, skills that specialise, and a world that reacts to what you do to it. A server of your own is where that community lives.
Our Eco hosting runs the official dedicated server on AMD Ryzen CPUs with NVMe storage, behind VibeSHIELD DDoS protection. Set the world size, the meteor timer and the difficulty, install server-side mods, and manage it all from the control panel or Eco's own web interface. Plans go from 4 to 16 GB, and the server is online within minutes of ordering.
Which Eco plan do you need?
Eco's load grows with the world size, the number of players and how far the civilisation gets:
A small group: ECO I
4 GB and two threads for a handful of friends on a small world, a relaxed meteor timer and a few mods.
A community: ECO II to III
6 to 8 GB and up to four threads for 10 to 30 players, a standard-size world, an active economy and a mod list.
Large worlds and public servers: ECO IV
16 GB and eight threads for 30 or more players on a large world, long seasons and the late-game simulation load. Upgrading keeps your world.
World settings, mods and the web interface
Eco gives the server owner a lot of knobs, and they are all yours.
Meteor, world size and difficulty
Set the meteor countdown (or turn the meteor off), the world size, day length, skill gain and collaboration settings in the server configuration, from the panel's file manager or Eco's web interface.
Server-side mods
Upload mods to the Mods folder over SFTP and restart. Eco mods run on the server, so your players simply join; both gameplay mods and new content work.
Eco's web interface
Eco ships a web interface with the economy, laws, elections and server stats, and an admin view for settings and player management. The control panel adds the console, backups and scheduled restarts.
Eco server locations worldwide
Low ping is half the fun. Our Eco servers run in 15 datacenters across Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Oceania and Africa, every one on the same AMD Ryzen hardware with NVMe storage and behind VibeSHIELD, our own DDoS protection network with 17 Tb/s of mitigation capacity. You pick the location at checkout, and the latency checker below shows your real ping to each one before you order.
Outgrown your first choice? Our team moves your server to another location on request, with your files intact, so the location you start in is never a lock-in.
Your first steps after ordering
The server is delivered installed and running a new world. Getting your civilisation started takes a few steps:
- 1Set the server name, description and password
- 2Choose the world size and the meteor timer
- 3Set difficulty, skill gain and collaboration settings
- 4Upload your mods to the Mods folder
- 5Restart from the panel and join from the in-game server list or by address
Switching from another Eco host?
An Eco world lives in the Storage folder, and the settings in the Configs folder. Copy both plus your Mods, upload them over SFTP, restart, and the economy, the laws and everyone's property are exactly as they were.
- 1Download the Storage folder with your world and the Configs folder from the old host
- 2Upload them over SFTP together with your Mods folder
- 3Restart and point your players at the new address
Open a ticket if you want a hand; our team moves Eco worlds mid-season regularly.

Why choose VibeGAMES
DDoS protection
VibeSHIELD, our globally anycasted DDoS-protected network, now spans 46 scrubbing locations worldwide. Every point of presence filters traffic the instant it lands, stopping attacks as close to the source as possible, long before they ever reach your server.
All 46 locations combine into one unified DDoS-protected fabric, so the full capacity of the entire network backs every individual server. Layer that on top of custom game-aware filtering, tuned for the protocols our customers actually use, and it doesn't matter how big the attack is or how long it lasts. Your players stay connected.
