How to Join Your Dragonwilds Server on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch 2 and PC
RuneScape: Dragonwilds2 min readUpdated Oct 12, 2026
Since version 1.0, RuneScape: Dragonwilds is crossplay: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC players can all play on your server. Consoles cannot type a server address, so they join with an invite code or by searching the world name. Both are shown on the console page of your server.
Find the Invite Code and World Name
- Log in to your game panel and open your Dragonwilds server.
- On the Console page, the How players join card shows the Invite code, the World name and the Address. Each has a copy button.
- The invite code appears a minute or so after a start, once the world is ready. It is a new code after every restart, so share the current one.
- No code yet? Make sure the status reads RUNNING and wait for the console to finish loading. If the server has been running for a while and the card still shows none, press Restart.
Join on PlayStation 5, Xbox or Switch 2
- Start Dragonwilds, choose Play and open Worlds.
- Choose the option to join with an invite code, enter the code from the panel and confirm.
- Or open the Public tab and search for the world name exactly as shown in the panel, including capitals. Searching the server name finds nothing: the Public list only matches world names.
- If the panel shows a World password, the game asks for it now.
Join on PC
- Steam, Jagex Launcher and Epic all work the same way: Play, Worlds, then the invite code or the Public tab search.
- PC players can also choose Direct and enter the Address from the panel (IP and port).
- Steam invites to a dedicated server do not connect properly. Share the invite code or the world name instead.
Console Settings That Block Joining
- PlayStation 5: under Settings, Family and Parental Controls, allow communication with other players and user-generated content. PlayStation Plus is required for online play.
- Xbox: under Settings, Account, Privacy and online safety, allow playing with people outside Xbox. Otherwise crossplay is blocked by the console.
- Switch 2: check the parental controls allow online communication. Nintendo Switch Online is required.
Good to Know
- Everyone needs the same game version. After a Dragonwilds update, restart your server so it updates too; players on a newer version cannot join an older server.
- Console players cannot use mods. Keep the server unmodded when console players need to join.
- The invite code changes on every restart. Players who joined before keep the world in their list and do not need the new code.
- Up to 6 players can be on the server at once.
