How to Make Yourself Admin on Your Assetto Corsa Server

An Assetto Corsa admin logs in from the in-game chat with a password, and can then kick drivers, skip sessions and hand out ballast. The password is a setting in the panel, and every new server starts with the same default one, so changing it comes first.

1Change the Admin Password

• Log in to your game panel and click your Assetto Corsa server.
• Open Game Settings in the left menu and set a new Admin Password. The default is known to everyone who read the egg's documentation, so do not race with it.
• Save and restart the server.

2Log In From the Game

• Join the server and open the chat.
• Type /admin yourpassword and press Enter. The chat confirms that you are admin for this session.

3The Admin Commands

• /help lists everything. The ones used most:
  • /kick name removes a driver; /ban_id works by the slot id shown in the list.
  • /next_session ends the current session and moves on, /restart_session starts it over.
  • /ballast name kg adds weight to a car, /restrictor name percent limits its engine.
  • /client_list shows who is in which slot.

Good to Know

• The Players page in the panel shows who is on the server and lets you kick without logging in.
• The password is in server_cfg.ini as ADMIN_PASSWORD. The Game Settings page writes it there; if you upload a config made with Content Manager, it carries its own admin password and that one wins. See how to configure your server.
