How to Join Your Assetto Corsa Server

Assetto Corsa2 min readUpdated Oct 22, 2026

Your Assetto Corsa server is installed with the default content and running. Drivers join it from Content Manager, the launcher nearly every AC player uses, either from the server list or straight with the address.

Find Your Server

  • Log in to your game panel and click your Assetto Corsa server.
  • On the Console page the How to join card shows the Server name. The ip address is on the same page, and the HTTP port is on the Config Editor page under the server tab.
  • The status next to the server name has to read RUNNING.

Join From the Server List

  • Open Content Manager and go to Online.
  • Search for your Server name on the Lobby tab and press Join.
  • Content Manager tells you if a car or the track is missing; see step 4.

Join With the Address

  • In Online, press the plus button to add a server by address.
  • Enter the ip address and the HTTP port, not the game port, and join.
  • Use this when the server is not in the lobby list, or when Register to lobby is off in the config.

Content Every Driver Needs

  • Drivers need the cars in the entry list and the track the server runs, installed in their own game. Official content is in every copy; community cars and tracks have to be installed by each driver.
  • Content Manager shows what is missing before joining and, for content with a download link in the server config, offers to install it.
  • A password set in the config is asked for at join; the admin password is a different one, see how to make yourself admin.

Good to Know

  • A new server shows in the lobby a minute after it started, when Register to lobby is on. The address always works.
  • Checksums. The server checks the track and car files of joining drivers against its own. A driver with a modified or outdated version of a car is refused with a checksum error; the fix is the same version on both sides.
  • Custom Shaders Patch options in the server config only show for drivers who have CSP installed; drivers without it can still join unless the config requires it.

Finished

Drivers are on track. The Config Editor is where you set the cars, the track and the sessions.
