How to setup automatic backups for your server

The automatic backups add-on makes a daily incremental backup of your VPS or virtual dedicated server and keeps each backup for up to 14 days. There is nothing to schedule: once the add-on is active, backups run every day by themselves.

Pricing is based on your server's storage: 0,06 euro per GB per month. You can add the add-on while ordering a new server, or enable it at any time from the dashboard as described below.

1Open the Billing Tab

• Log in to the VibeGAMES dashboard and open the server you want to protect.
• Go to the Billing tab and find the Automatic backups card. It shows the exact monthly price for your server.

2Enable Backups

• Press Enable backups.
• An invoice is created for the remaining days of your current billing period (you only pay for what is left, not a full month) and you are redirected to it.

If your renewal is due within the next few days, enabling is briefly blocked: renew your server first, then enable backups so they are billed for the full period.

3Pay the Invoice

• Pay the invoice with any payment method. Backups switch on automatically the moment the payment is processed.
• Back on the Billing tab, the Automatic backups card now shows a green Enabled badge. From your next renewal onwards, the add-on simply appears as a line on your regular renewal invoice.

Your server is now backed up automatically every day, and each backup is kept for up to 14 days. Need to restore one? Press Launch control panel at the top of your server page and open the backups section there, or open a support ticket and we will help you restore.

Turning backups off

• On the Billing tab, press Disable backups and confirm with Yes, disable at renewal.
• Backups stay active for the period you have already paid for. The card shows an Ends at renewal badge, and your next renewal invoice no longer includes the backup line. No refund is given for the current period.
• Changed your mind? Press Keep backups any time before your renewal to undo it.
