Question 1

What hardware is recommended for DayZ server hosting?

Accepted Answer

DayZ performs best on a high-clock-speed CPU with at least 8 GB of RAM. Vanilla servers run well on lighter plans, while modded servers with heavy script loads benefit from more CPU priority and memory. Our DayZ plans are sized to handle both.

Question 2

How many players can a DayZ server support?

Accepted Answer

DayZ servers can run up to 60 players by default, though many community servers cap at 40–50 for a better gameplay experience. Map size, loot economy and active mods all affect performance at higher player counts.

Question 3

Can I install mods from the Steam Workshop on my DayZ server?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Steam Workshop mods are fully supported. Add mod IDs to your server's launch parameters through the control panel and they will be automatically downloaded and loaded on startup. Custom mod collections and private mods via SFTP are also supported.

Question 4

Can I use a custom map on my DayZ server?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Custom maps such as Livonia, Namalsk and community-made maps are all supported. Install the map mod through Workshop or SFTP, then configure your server to load it via the mission and startup settings in the control panel.

Question 5

Is DDoS protection included with DayZ server hosting?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All plans include DDoS mitigation at no extra cost. Our infrastructure absorbs and filters attack traffic so your community stays online even during targeted attacks.

Question 6

How quickly can I get a DayZ server online?

Accepted Answer

Your server is provisioned and ready to connect within minutes of completing your order. No manual setup or delays. Configure your settings and get in-game straight away.
