Question 1

What tickrate should I use for a CS2 server?

Accepted Answer

Competitive CS2 servers run at 128 tick for the best hit registration and movement feel. Our plans are configured to handle 128-tick at full player counts without CPU throttling, so you get a consistently smooth experience from the first player to the last.

Question 2

Can I install SourceMod and MetaMod on a CS2 server?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SourceMod and MetaMod are fully supported and can be installed through the file manager or via SFTP. You can add plugins for custom game modes, anti-cheat utilities, map voting, match management and more. There are no restrictions on what you install.

Question 3

How many players can a CS2 server support?

Accepted Answer

A standard CS2 competitive server runs 10 players (5v5). Community servers can be configured for up to 64 players depending on the game mode. Our plans are sized to handle these configurations comfortably without performance degradation.

Question 4

Is DDoS protection included with CS2 server hosting?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All servers include DDoS mitigation at no extra cost. CS2 servers are common targets for attack, and our infrastructure is built to absorb and filter malicious traffic so your matches stay online without interruption.

Question 5

Where are your CS2 servers located?

Accepted Answer

Our servers are located in Europe, giving European players low-latency connections and stable ping. Good routing ensures players from other regions get a solid connection as well.

Question 6

How do I set up a custom map rotation on my CS2 server?

Accepted Answer

Map rotations are configured through the server's configuration files, which you can edit directly from the control panel or via SFTP. You can specify maps in the mapcycle.txt file and control map voting behaviour through SourceMod plugins.
