How do I make myself admin on my ARK server?

To run admin commands on your ARK server you first set an admin password in the panel, then unlock the admin console in game with it.

1Open the Startup Page

• Log in to your game panel and open your ARK server.
• Click Startup in the left menu under CONFIGURATION.

2Set an Admin Password

• Find the Admin Password card under Variables and type a password of your choice. The value saves automatically while you type.
• Stick to letters, numbers, dashes and underscores; do not use spaces.
• Keep this password to yourself: anyone who knows it can run any command on your server.

3Restart Your Server

• Restart your server so the new password takes effect.

4Unlock Admin in Game

• Join your server.
• Press Tab to open the in-game console.
• Type enablecheats yourpassword (replace yourpassword with the password from step 2) and press Enter.
