How do I change the map of my ARK server?
ARK1 min de lecturaActualizado el 28 ago 2026
Your ARK server can run any of the ARK: Survival Evolved maps. Each map keeps its own world save, so switching maps does not delete your progress; switch back later and your old world is still there.
Stop Your Server
- Log in to your game panel, open your ARK server and press Stop on the Console page.
Open the Startup Page
- Click Startup in the left menu under CONFIGURATION.
Set the Map
- Find the Server Map card under Variables and type the code of the map you want. The value saves automatically while you type.
- Use the exact code from this list:
| Map | Code |
|---|---|
| The Island | TheIsland |
| The Center | TheCenter |
| Scorched Earth | ScorchedEarth_P |
| Ragnarok | Ragnarok |
| Aberration | Aberration_P |
| Extinction | Extinction |
| Valguero | Valguero_P |
| Genesis Part 1 | Genesis |
| Genesis Part 2 | Gen2 |
| Crystal Isles | CrystalIsles |
| Lost Island | LostIsland |
| Fjordur | Fjordur |
Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction and both Genesis maps are paid DLC: players need to own the DLC to join. The other maps are free for everyone.
Start Your Server
- Start your server. The first boot on a new map generates a fresh world, which can take a few minutes.
Finished
Your server now runs the new map. Want to run several maps at the same time and let players travel between them with their character, items and dinos? Order an extra ARK server and link them on the ARK Manager page under the Cluster Manager tab.
