How do I add mods to my ARK server?
ARK2 min de lecturaActualizado el 28 ago 2026
Your ARK server has a built-in mod manager, so you do not need to edit any config files to install Steam Workshop mods. Add a mod by its Workshop link or ID, or pick one straight from the popular mods list.
Open the Mod Manager
- Log in to your game panel and open your ARK server.
- Click ARK Manager in the left menu under GAME SERVER.
- Make sure the Mod Manager tab at the top is selected.
Add a Mod by Workshop Link or ID
- Find your mod on the Steam Workshop and copy the URL of its page. The number in the URL is the mod ID; for Structures Plus (S+) that is 731604991.
- Back in the panel, paste the URL or just the ID into the Steam Workshop URL or Mod ID field. The panel looks the mod up and shows a preview with its name and subscriber count.
- Click Add. The mod now appears in your Active Mods list.
Or Browse the Popular Mods
- Click Browse Popular Mods at the bottom of the page to open a catalog of the most subscribed ARK mods.
- Type in the filter field to search, then click Add to server on any card. Mods you already run show an Installed badge.
Set the Load Order and Restart
- In the Active Mods list, use the up and down arrows to reorder mods. Mods load from top to bottom, and some mods (map extensions, big overhauls) need a specific position; the mod's Workshop page usually tells you.
- Remove a mod with the X button on its row.
- Restart your server to apply the changes.
Finished
Your mods are active after the restart. Behind the scenes the Mod Manager maintains the
ActiveModssetting in yourGameUserSettings.ini, so there is no need to touch that file yourself. If you do want to edit configs by hand, see how to change your ARK settings.
