Enter a Steam account Token for CS:GO

CSGO2 min de leituraAtualizado a 28 de ago. de 2026

Counter-Strike servers must log in to Steam with a Gameserver Login Token (GSLT), also called a Steam account token. Without a valid token your server cannot register with Steam and will not be reachable through the public server browser. Creating a token is free and takes about a minute. This applies to Counter-Strike 2 as well: it uses the same App ID.

Create a Token on Steam

  • At the bottom of the page, enter 730 as the App ID. That is the Steam App ID for Counter-Strike, and it is the one to use for Counter-Strike 2 servers too. The memo is just a note for yourself; type whatever you like.
  • Click Create.

  • Your new token appears in the list under Game Login Token. Copy it.

Enter the Token in the Panel

  • Log in to the game panel and open your Counter-Strike server.
  • Click Startup in the left menu under CONFIGURATION.
  • Scroll to the Variables section and find the Steam Account Token card.
  • Paste your token into the field. Changes are saved automatically: a small spinner appears next to the variable while the panel saves, so there is no save button to look for.

Restart Your Server

Token Expired or Rejected?

If Steam reports the token as expired or unknown while your server boots, the panel notices this in the console and opens an Invalid GSL token! popup by itself. Paste a fresh token into the GSL Token field and press Update GSL Token; the panel saves it and restarts your server automatically. Leaving the field empty removes the token completely.

Finished

Your server now logs in to Steam with your account token and shows up in the public server browser. You can manage or regenerate tokens at any time on the same Steam page. A token that goes unused for a long time can expire, so if your server has been offline for a while and refuses to register, generate a new one.
