How to join my ARK server?

ARK servers are easiest to join through your Steam favorites. You need two things from the panel: your server's IP address and its query port.

1Get Your Server Address and Query Port

• Log in to your game panel, open your ARK server and start it if it is not running.
• On the Console page, the panel shows an Address row (click it to copy). The part before the colon is your server's IP; the part after it is the game port.

• Steam's server list uses the query port, which is a different number. Open Startup in the left menu and look at the Startup command card: the number after QueryPort= is what you need.

2Add the Server to Your Steam Favorites

• Open Steam and click View in the top left corner, then Game Servers (called Servers on older Steam versions).

• Open the Favorites tab.

• Click Add a Server, enter your address as IP:QUERYPORT and click Add this address to favorites.

3Join from Inside ARK

• Start ARK: Survival Evolved and open the server browser (Join ARK).
• At the bottom left, set Session Filter to Favorites.
• Select your server in the list and click Join.

You are in! If you set a Server Password on the Startup page, the game asks for it when joining. Server not showing up? Give it a minute after starting (ARK takes a while to fully boot), press Refresh in the browser, and double check you used the query port rather than the game port. Once you are in, consider making yourself admin.
