What is Team Fortress 2?

Team Fortress 2 is Valve's class-based multiplayer shooter and one of the longest-living FPS games ever made. Every match is built around nine playable classes: Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper and Spy, each with its own weapons, movement and role. The magic is in how those classes interact: a good team combines them, and a chaotic one goes nine Snipers and has fun anyway.

On your own server you decide what TF2 looks like: Payload, Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, Control Points, Arena, Mann vs. Machine and more, across well over a hundred official maps plus an endless supply of community-made ones. Trade servers, surf maps, jailbreak, x10 madness: the community server scene is where TF2 has always lived, and your server becomes part of it the moment it appears in the in-game server browser.

Your server, your rules

Your TF2 server is deployed instantly after checkout and is fully yours to shape. Install SourceMod and MetaMod for admin tools and gameplay plugins, upload custom maps, edit your server.cfg, and switch game modes whenever you like, all through the control panel's console and file manager or over SFTP.
