How to connect to your Windows server

You manage a Windows server over Remote Desktop (RDP). You will need the server's IP address and the Administrator password, which VibeGAMES emails you as soon as your server finishes installing.

1Find Your Server's IP Address

• Log in to the VibeGAMES dashboard, and under Virtual Servers click Manage on your server.
• On the Details tab, use the copy icon next to IPv4 address.

2Open Remote Desktop Connection

• Press Start, type Remote Desktop Connection and open it. It is included in every version of Windows. On macOS, install Windows App from the App Store.
• In the Computer field, paste the IP address of your server.
• Click Connect.

3Log In

• Enter the username Administrator and the password from your installation email.
• Click OK.

4Accept the Certificate Warning

• On the first connection a certificate warning appears. Press Yes.

Cannot connect?

• Remote Desktop (port 3389) is open by default: it comes pre-configured in your VibeSHIELD DDoS protection. If you deleted that filter, open your server's DDoS protection tab in the dashboard and add it back with Add filter (or the Remote Desktop (3389) template on the Open a port card).
• Lost the Administrator password? It was sent to you by email when the server was installed. If you cannot find it, open a support ticket.
