How to manage your files via FTP using Filezilla

SFTP is the fastest way to make big changes to your server, such as uploading complete resources or downloading everything at once. This guide uses the free FTP client FileZilla.

1Download and Install FileZilla

• Download FileZilla and install it before proceeding.

2Get Your SFTP Details

• In the game panel, open your server and click FTP Details under CONFIGURATION.
• The Connection details card lists everything you need: the Server address, your Username and your Password. Use the copy buttons, and the eye icon to reveal the password.
• These SFTP credentials are separate from your game panel login. Want a password you can remember? Set your own under Change password on the same page.

3Connect with FileZilla

• Open FileZilla and fill in the Quickconnect bar at the top:

1. Host: paste the Server address, including the sftp:// part.
2. Username: the username you copied.
3. Password: the password you copied.
4. Port: leave empty, it is part of the address.

• Press Quickconnect. The first time, FileZilla asks you to trust the server's host key; press OK.

4Manage Your Files

Once connected, your server files appear on the right-hand side of FileZilla.

• Upload: drag files or folders from the left side (your computer) to the right side (your server).
• Download: drag them the other way.
• Edit: right-click a file and choose View/Edit to open it locally; FileZilla offers to upload it again when you save.

Forgot Your Password?

• Set a new one on the FTP Details page under Change password (minimum 8 characters). It takes effect immediately.

You can now manage your server files at full speed. For quick single-file edits, the built-in file manager is often faster than opening FileZilla.
